–How not to be a former Deputy Governor

I have noticed with utter dismay the ongoing open advertisment of ugly character and media banditry being undertaken by a supposed former deputy governor of Kogi state,Fake Chief Simon Achuba ,who is busy moving from one national television to another in a futile attempt to bring down the former governor of Kogi State ,Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
I have a few words of candid advice for this man with ugly personality and uncivilized behavior as well.
He should retrace his steps and stop embarrassing kogi state and his family.
Nobody can bring down Alhaji Yahaya Bello in Nigeria politics today.
With the benefit of hindsight one can now understand why the former governor rightly decided to show him the way out of Lugard house at a point in the life of his administration.
Let me put it on record that the action of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is now vindicated following the crass political shenaniganism being displayed by his one time deputy governor.
Before Achuba became the 4th executive governor of kogi State,we have had Deputy governors like Chief Patrick Adava,Dr and barrister Phillips Omeiza Ozovehe Salawu and Arch.Yomi Awoniyi.
These are gentlemen of high integrity and iconic personality who were loyal and supportive to their bosses in this state.
I want to talk about the display of Dr.Phillips as a case study here because I was fortunate in life to worked closely with him for good 5 years between 2007 and 2012.
The former deputy governor is a good reference point in loyalty and political sagacity.to his boss,Chief Ibrahim Idris.
For a period of over 8 years Dr Phillips stayed loyal and supportive from the beginning to the end.
He showed the true character of Ebira people.
He held office as acting governor on behalf of Alhaji Idris for over 40 times.
He did not betrayed or take advantage of his acting capacity to enrich himself or influence award of contract to either himself or his cronies.
Phillips never one day openly or privately disagreed or quarrel with his boss.
Even when his boss was sometimes disrespectful and misbehaving,Dr Phillips stayed humble and gentlemanly.
If you take the conduct of Chief Patric Adava too, another Ebira man who served as Deputy governor to late Prince Abubakar Audu, you would see the total loyalty and uncommon support at display.
I also worked briefly with Arch.Yomi Awoniyi before I was deployed to the Graphics newspaper under circumstances that I will reserve for another day.
Chief Yomi was a finest personality worthy of emulation by the upcoming generation.
He was loyal from the beginning to the very end of their eventful and impactful 4 years tenure in office.
He was Capt.Wada’s right hand man.
Untill today I hold Arch.Awoniyi in high esteem.
He is knowledgeable and versatile.
But what did Chief Simon Achuba do with power,when he was given the rare opportunity to come and serve the state?
Barely 3 months in office he started misbehaving and been over ambitious.
He was looking for any slight opportunity to rehabilitate himself.
He was calculating and planning how to become the executive governor of the state,so that polical leadership can quickly return to the Eastern senatorial district.
Those who claims that they are born to rule Kogi State because of the controversial and unverified majority status.
.We are waiting for the next census exercise to put this claim to permanent rest..
Nobody can convince me that Ebira people are a minority tribe in the present Kogi State configuration.
All these nonsense he is doing upon and down behaving like an uncivilized and local personality is true to his ugly character and background.
His former boss,Alhaji Yahaya Bello is very justified in showing him the way out of Lugard house.
He is not qualified to hold any political position at all,not even a councilor in his local government area.
He is a shameless and unrepentant clown.
These days he is busy advertising his ugly character and infantile personality to the whole world.
Kogi State people should be thankful to God that Alhaj Yahaya Belloi was smart enough to see through his fake mentality and idiotic leadership traits.
He is a good specimen of how not to be a political leader.
He should go and face his farming enterprise alone and leave active politics for other more deserving political actors from his ethnic base.
His so-called ethnic agenda in Kogi. State politics is dead on arrival.
It has been consigned to the dustbin of history by the immediate past governor of kogi state,Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
This is the man who had taught every genuine political actor to embrace politics of inclusiveness and bridge building in Kogi State.
