The Bassa cultural and Development Union BCDU Kogi state chapter has elected it new officials to run the affairs of the union.
The newly elected officials includes, Mr Michael Ndazaga Adakeke as chairman, Mrs Sara Kure as Vice chairman, Dr Sheneni Samuel Sekpe as secretary, Comrade Abraham Bature John as assistant secretary, Mrs Martha Aisha as Treasurer, Comrade Hulobu Sunday as PRO 1, Comrade Sekpe Emanuel as PRO II , Comrade Bako Denwi as financial secretary, Mr Poul Ayuba as Organizing secretary , Prince Garba Kpongbo as Provost Marshall and Joseph Zhiya as Auditor 1 and Comrade David Daniel Abel as Auditor 11.
Speaking shortly after the election, the National President o BCDU, Dr Peter Tukura described the electoral process that brought the new state BCDU officials on board as historic and urged them to uphold the values of unity, integrity and accountability in the discharge of their duties.
Receiving the newly elected Kogi state BCDU officials at Gegu- Beki ,the Commissioner for Solid Mineral resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu congratulated Mr Michael Ndazaga Adakeke for his emergence as the new state BCDU chairman and urged him to dwell on peace building.
In his remark, the newly elected state chairman of BCDU ,Mr Michael Ndazaga Adakeke expresses delight and promised to put up his best in building the union to an enviable heights and called on the entire Bassa people in the state to support him to succeed.
He commended the Commissioner for Solid Mineral resources Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu and all Bassa stakeholders for their support to the success of the election.
Also speaking, the BCDU state coordinator, Dr Abubakar kazaka commended the Ohimege of Igu Kotonkarfe Kingdom, Dr Saidu Akawu Salihu and the Aguma of Tawari, Alhaji Yusuf Idris and the BCDU National leadership for their moral support.
