BCDU Election: Dr Peter Tukura Assures of Selfless Service

 

Aspirants for President Bassa Cultural Development Union (BCDU) in next month Election of the union Doctor Peter Tukura says he will continue to offer more selfless service to the growth of Bassa race if given mandate to serve.

Doctor Peter made the statement while speaking to news men shortly after being turban as Danbaiwa of Tawari chiefdom in Tawari chiefdom of Kogi Local Government Area.

Doctor Peter said doing his best in building an economic viable people is significant to the development of any society.

According to him, the traditional title conferred on him is a responsibility that will motivate him to do more for the Bassa people and Society at large.

He thanked the Monarch of Tawari Alhaji Idris Alhassan Idris for the Chieftaincy title and prayed God preserve the Aguma Tawari chiefdom to reign long on the throne of his ancestors.

He appealed to the state government to complete the construction of Gegu Tawari road stressing that completion of the road will boost transportation of agric produce in the area.

Doctor Peter Tukura who is contesting president Bassa Cultural Development Union in next month BCDU election expressed confidence he will emerge victorious to move the union to greater heights.

In his speech the Aguma Tawari chiefdom Alhaji Idris Alhassan said the traditional title confered on the prominent citizens of the country is to strengthen them to remain good ambassadors of the Society.

Deputy Governor of Benue state and the Deputy Speaker and a Brigedeir General of the Nigeria military were part of dignitaries conferred with the traditional title.
