The New Acting Chairman of Bassa Local Government Area, Mrs Memunat Ali has assured of an inclusive governance under her watch.
Memunat gave the assurance on Tuesday, shortly after taking over the leadership of the Local Government at Oguma, headquarters of the Local government.
She noted that her emergence as Acting Chairman of the Local Government is a greater call to service hence she will work hard to deliver in line with the new direction government of Governor Yahaya Bello.
According to the Acting Chairman, she is the first to occupy the seat as Counci leader and subsequently Acting Chairman, noting that it is historic.
Memunat particularly thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for the opportunity to serve in that capacity, promising to be his good ambassador through purposeful leadership and expressed appreciation to Alhaji Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals for his role.
The Acting Chairman appealed to stakeholders in the area, elders, opinion moulders, women, youths and others to support her in the discharge of the new assignment.
Memunat also called for constructive criticisms in order to propel the wheel of progress in the overall interest of the development of Bassa Local Government.
The Acting Bassa Local Government Chairman dedicated the position to Allah, Governor Yahaya Bello and the Bassa people, urging the people to sustain prayers for her to succeed.
