In fulfillment of His Excellency, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment towards food sufficiency in the state, five trailer loads of fertilizer have arrived Oguma the headquarters of Bassa Local Government Area for distribution to the ten wards that make up the council area.
Confirming the magnanimity of governor Ododo who doubles as the farmer friendly chief executive of the state, the Chairmanship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Council, Hon Theophilus Adama said this is the first time in decades that farmers would be accessing free fertilizer in the area.
Hon Adama who spoke through his media Aide, Joshua Denwi in a statement at Oguma said Bassa people are grateful to the governor for placing Bassa Local Government Area as top priority in his administration.
The governor he said has approved the construction of township roads at Oguma, while the contractor handling the Oguma/Sheria bridge to open up economic activities in the area is already rounding up the last lap of the project.
On my part as the Senior Special Assistant on Information and Communication, I wish to sincerely and openly thank His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving numerous political appointments to Bassa indigenes.
While we have laboured politically in the past without reward, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has wiped the tears of our people by rewarding them with so many political appointments.
I wish to assure His Excellency, the Chief Servant of the state that Bassa people will ever remain committed to the ideals and programmes of his administration.
