Barr. Uju Kennedy: A Rising Star in Leadership and Achievement

The representation of female world leaders has been a matter of concern, as the United Nations General Assembly noted a decline from 7.2% to 6.6% – merely 10 out of 153 leaders in 2017-2018.

This disparity has also affected under-developed and developing countries in Asia and Africa, including Nigeria, where women have been significantly under-represented in positions of power. Overcoming this pressing issue has proven to be challenging, with only a few women having the opportunity to serve in prominent capacities in Nigeria. The lack of support for women in politics has been a major obstacle, hindering many from aspiring to such positions.
