It was glamour and funfare as an illustrious son of the soil and a traditional title holder of the land, who doubles as the Honourable commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic planning, Kogi state; Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA attends the annual Bagido day celebration with friends, political associates and numerous followers.
In his remarks, Asiwaju who was obviously overwhelmed with joy, expressed his appreciation to the Bagido traditional council and the executives of Bagido Socio-cultural group for making sure the annual programme remain a reference point, most especially, the communal bond, unity amongst the people and the cultural values it promote. Am happy to be associated with you all, because you are conscientious builders, whose against all odds, keep the faith and focus in plotting the affairs of our beloved community, Bagido.
MAAI also harps on the need for all Bagido sons and daughters to demostrate love to all in it genuineness and foster unity, which he said is the only sustainable panacea to the rapid development we desire as a community. He expressed satisfaction with the synergy between the traditional council and Bagido development association, saying it’s evident here today and also the plethora of community development initiatives he can see around.
He enjoined Bagido traditional council to continue to play their developmental advisory role, guild the traditional practices and preserve the cultural heritage of the land. He also advised Bagido youths on hardwork, discipline and commitment to whatsoever their hands finds to do legally, saying the top is their destination if they are faithful.
He assured the people that the coming local Government election will be peaceful, credible and transparent, saying that Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello is a core democrat that’s dedicated to the prevailing choice of the electorates. But our youths must shun tenacity for violence, thuggery or any vices that appears immodest and unlawful.
Conclusively, In his words, “as a keen lover of my beloved community and a growth advocate, I am impressed with the ongoing activities and plans of the community. Premise on this, I support the various community projects with the sum of N1,000,000 and more will still come as we progress”.
The commissioner also supported an isanlu born bright music potential with a stage name Ericx with the sum of N500, 000 after he thrilled Asiwaju with a good music solely dedicated to him.
His presence brought joy to the inhabitants and makes the event more colourful and fun filled.
