The Member Representing Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Barr. Shaba Ibrahim has described the honour done Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Kogi State Governor by the Anyigba Development Association as well deserved.
The Lawmaker in a message of Congratulations, said the award as “the Star Lite Of Modern Anyigba Developement.’ conferred on the former Governor aptly captures the painstaking efforts made by the former Governor to improve on the living standard and infrastructure accros the state.
He commended the people of Anyigba for appreciating the efforts of the former Governor and for deeming it fit to honour him several years after he left office as commendable, hailed the idea as coming at a better time.
The Lawmaker urged the former Governor to take solace in the fact that years after he has left office, his legacies are standing tall and attracting appreciation from all and sundry, urged other Politicians to emulate his efforts in selfless services.
While he congratulated the Former Governor on his well deserved award,. Barr. Shaba used the opportunity to advise those with “pull him down” syndrome attitude to close ranks and move the state forward, pointing out that those who seek to ignore this icon politically are doing so at their peril.
He concluded by describing the former Governor as father of all and a Politician for all times and seasons, Prayed that Almighty Allah will grant him long life and prosperity as he continues to serve as father to all in the state.
