OPEN LETTER TO THE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE:
Your Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and by the Special Grace of God, the next President of the federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023, we bring you calvary Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We, the undersigned of this letter, on behalf of the good people of ASUTA WARD in Kabba Bunu Local Government Council of Kogi State who voted for Hon. Ayo Kajotoni during Local Government Election held on the 12th of December, 2020, as our Councillor, want to bring to the notice of your Excellency, the ongoing CONSPIRACY and CONTEMPT OF COURT Procedures between KOGI STATE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION (KOSIEC) and One Segun Dare who is challenging the Victory of Hon. Ayo Kajotoni at the Court
Sir, being a Pre-election litigation, we are made to understand that the case will be finally determined by the Supreme Court and our Elected Councillor in person of Hon. Ayo Kajotoni has approached the highest court in the land for the final determination of the matter. It is therefore SHOCKING and EMBARRASSING that KOSIEC has gone ahead to issue another Certificate of Return to the said Segun Dare despite the fact that the decision of the Appeal Court has been appealed and same was served KOSIEC and the Respondent, Segun Dare.
Your Excellency Sir, the behavior of KOSIEC in issuing another Certificate of Return to Segun Dare is capable of causing disaffection in ASUTA WARD as two people are already Parading themselves as Councillor of the Ward.
Segun Dare does not participate in any of the processes of the Local Government Election held on the 12th December, 2020 and coming through the BACK DOOR to claim the mandate we freely gave Hon. Ayo Kajotoni is an abberation.
We strongly believe in your Excellency’s capacity to resolve this matter as quickly as possible so as to enable us concentrate on your presidential Project.
While looking forward to your prompt intervention, kindly accept the assurances of our highest regards.
Yours Obedient Followers:
Elder Bamidele Joseph
Mr. Festus Ige
Mrs. Omowunmi Clement
