The concern sons and daughters of Kogi State indigenes in North West Zone had a meeting in Kaduna State at Jelwell Hotel on Friday 23/06/2023 to chant the course of good governance and way out for the forthcoming general election in Kogi State under the auspices of Kogi In Diaspora.
The group stated that after a good x-ray of the state (Kogi) they came to a conclusion that the state need someone, a personality with good experience both in the public and private sector; someone with a roboost educational background; one who has the state (Kogi) at heart and above all the fear of God. The group studied the blue print and the anticident of all the contestants that are vaying for the governorship position in the state, it was on this that the group concluded and throw their support to the candidate thet marched the creteria stated above.
The Chairman of the occasion Comr. Usman Yunusa said the state is already in disarray and full of disunity among the ethnic line, and the state need a strong character, a unifier in respective of tribe or zone to champion the cause of rebuilding Kogi State to it’s old glory or even better than what it is presently. It was on this ground the group came to a conclusion that Sen. Dino Melaye fit in the above mentioned creteria. That with Sen. Dino Melaye, the cycle of power rotation must have been completed in the state and peace will reign again.
The group reiterated that their support is done out of their love for Kogi State. Therefore, they solicit support from the entire Kogites from all parts of the country to gallantly queue behind Sen. Dino Melaye and Hajia Habab Muhammed Deen and say “NO” to ethnicity, tribal sentiment of any kind.
The group urge the good people of Kogi State to stay out of trouble and deviate from any form of unrest in the state.They equally advised that peace can not be short changed for violence.
