In an era where politics is often loud, self-serving, and performative, Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji stands out as a rare specie of leader that Nigeria and Africa desperately need. Born in Ayere, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Prince Olatunji was raised on the values of integrity, hard work, and love for humanity. From Kings & Queens Preparatory School and Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Secondary School in Effurun, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Benin.
His quest for knowledge later took him to the London School of Economics, University of Oxford, Harvard Kennedy School, and the University of East London, where he is pursuing a Master’s in Oil and Gas Management.
He started his professional journey at Odessa Marine Services Ltd, rising to Operations Manager, before founding Grosvenor Global Services Ltd, Tratun Energy Ltd, and Regions Oil and Gas. Today his interests span energy, marine, aviation logistics, and infrastructure. Yet despite the financial capacity to dominate any political space, he has chosen a low-profile path of service.

Since 2013, PROOF has quietly transformed thousands of lives:
1. Education:
1,000 free JAMB forms annually, ₦1,000,000 cash prize for best UTME student in Kogi, free CBT centres in Kabba and Ayere, 100 full scholarships each at COE Ankpa, COE Mopa, and College of Agriculture Kabba, employment and salaries for 32 teachers in Ayere, ₦100 million donation to Vine University America for an Ayere campus, ₦30 million to Anglican College of Nursing Ogidi-Ijumu, ₦50 million for Kabba Civic Centre, ₦10 million to NBA Kabba Branch.
2. Infrastructure & Water: Rehabilitation of Asaya-Ayere Road approved by Governor Usman Ododo, boreholes across Kogi West, Central and East, public toilets and motorized boreholes at Federal University Lokoja, renovation of Ayere police station, construction of rural markets.
3. Health: Free medical outreaches for pregnant women, eye surgeries, and treatment for the mentally ill.
4. Agriculture & Empowerment: Insecticides for 450+ farmers, ₦15 million agricultural fund for farmers and small business owners, monthly ₦10,000 stipends to 600 community members.
5. Security: ₦90 million donation at Kogi State Security Summit 2026, seven patrol vehicles to Kogi West LGAs out of a planned 21.
For this quiet revolution, he has received over 145 awards and traditional titles including Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, Turaki Gamji of Arewa Kingdom, and Basorun Akinjagunla of Ogidi Kingdom. Vine University, USA, also conferred on him an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities for “lifelong commitment to philanthropy and education.”
What makes Asiwaju different is his philosophy: “The true measure of leadership is not how high one rises, but how many others one lifts along the way.” He avoids the spotlight but his work echoes across Kogi. He arms youths with skills, not weapons. He restores dignity to widows, students, farmers, and the vulnerable. He supports the APC and Governor Ododo’s vision of selfless governance without seeking office.
