As human beings, Christian’s have been told that they have limitations, adviced to always remember the days they can work for God, advised to work for God.
Bishop John Ibenu, the Kogi State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter stated this in a message at the service of song held in honour Pastor Mrs Esther Oyinoza Kolawole who slept in the Lord on Sunday, 5th December, 2021, read from Ishiah Chapter 43 vs 2 and Eccl 12 vs 1-14.
Bishop Ibenu described life as a time of good and bad time, urged believers to always remember the good times and be encouraged.
The clergy man urged Christian’s to know that a time comes when they can make choices, but said every choice made determine where man spends eternity.
He described the stay on earth as a short stay but said returnswishing back to God is the long home of man, warn against temptation to push God away.
The Bishop urged Christian’s to strive for God while it is now, said heaven is real, said there is a long home that every man should be ready for.
Whosever man is, the clergyman described the life lived on earth as a trust, described man as dust, but said life is beyond the flesh, called on man to prepare his God.
Bishop Ibenu called on Christian’s to fear God and depart from evil, said everyone practicing evil is a child of the devil, urged Christian’s to hate evil and keep God’s commandments as the whole essence of the creation of man.
The Kogi State Government was represented at the service of Songs by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs Folashade Ayoade Arike alongside other top Government functionaries.
Dr. Folashade described the humility of Late Mrs Esther Kolawole as a lesson to learn in life, described the testimony of the life and times of Mrs Esther as a life of service to God and humanity.
She urged the Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly and the family to be consoled in the good legacies left behind by late Mrs. Esther Kolawole.
