
APC Youth Wing Backs Cybersecurity Expert Kabiru Onimisi Atta for Okehi‑Adavi House of Reps Seat

The Adavi‑Okehi APC Youth Frontier has officially endorsed cybersecurity veteran Kabiru Onimisi Atta as its candidate for the upcoming Okehi‑Adavi Constituency House of Representatives election, urging Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo and former Governor Yahaya Bello to grant him the party ticket.
Kabiru Onimisi Atta, a native of Kuroko, Adavi LGA, was born on 19 July in Oziokutu community, Ogaminana. He holds a BSc in Information Technology & Management from the University of Hull, a postgraduate diploma from the University of Strathclyde, an MSc in Project Management from the University of Salford, and an executive certificate from University College London.
He is currently a PhD candidate in Cybersecurity and AI at the University of the Cumberlands.
With over 23 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, Atta has worked for Fortune 500 firms such as Dell, Microsoft, General Motors, and KPMG, and was named to the EC‑COUNCIL Top 100 Ethical Hackers Hall of Fame in 2023.
In 2020, he founded a tech start‑up that patented a digital traffic‑management system in the United States, aimed at improving public safety.
Atta, married to Ozavize Atta and father to three children—Simisi, Itopa, and Adinoyi—pledges to prioritize infrastructure development in the constituency if elected.
He also founded the Project Second Chance Foundation, which provides economic empowerment, medical assistance, and educational scholarships.
The youth group’s statement highlighted Atta’s capacity to deliver “democracy dividends” and urged party leaders to support his candidacy for the benefit of the Okehi‑Adavi people.
