
APC Gains Momentum as 500 Opposition Members Join Ruling Party in Kogi LGA

Engr. Bashir Gegu, Kogi Local Government’s political leader and Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, has urged youths to promote peace as he welcomes 500 opposition members into the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ukwo Okoriko, Kogi Local Government.

The event, attended by political office holders, women groups, and Egbira music artists, saw Hon. Abdulkadiri Yakubu, a.k.a. Baba Ohikwo, praising Engr. Gegu’s political ideology, citing Governor Ododo’s love for civil servants. Baba Ohikwo pledged to work towards ensuring Ododo’s re-election.

Engr. Gegu commended the decampees for joining APC, charging them to work tirelessly for the party’s success and urging youths to shun vices that could disrupt Kogi’s development.
