The APC Ajaokuta Federal Constituency Patriots have issued a statement distancing Hon. Muhammed Lawal Idris, former House of Representatives member, from rumors of his defection to the PDP.
The group describes the news as “fake and mischievous,” attributing it to individuals afraid of Hon. Lawal’s rising political profile.
They emphasized that APC is Hon. Lawal’s home and urge people to discard the rumors.
According to the statement, Hon. Lawal is a foundation member of APC, known for his integrity, strong leadership, and people-centric politics.
His loyalty to the party and commitment to serving Ajaokuta Federal Constituency remain unwavering.
The statement also mentioned that Hon. Lawal’s achievements, including his philanthropic efforts and provision of employment opportunities, earning him the nickname “ATM, Mr. Empowerment”, makes him to intimidate lilliputian politicians.
The group warns those spreading false information, including Abdulmalik Muhammed of APC Youth Forum (Ajaokuta Chapter), to desist, citing the law of Karma. They affirm Hon. Lawal’s leadership will deliver victory for APC in all the upcoming elections.
