Another feather for Kogi Finance Commissioner, Conferred Icon of Youth Development Award.
… NYCN Chairman Describes Commissioner immeasurable support to youth development as unequalled.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance Budget and Economic Planning Asiwaju Asiru Idris has been conferred with the Icon of Youth Development Award, by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter.
The award was conferred on the Commissioner in Lokoja today by the State Chairman, NYCN, Comr. Ben Jerry, along with other members of the Council.
Comr. Jerry said the collective decision to confer the award on Asiwaju Asiru was necessitated by his immeasurable support to youth development in providing gainful employment.
” We have come on behalf of the Youths of Kogi State to single you out. You have etched your name in the hearts of the youth demography. The results are evident. Your impact is visible. We can no longer hold back in describing you as the bastion of Youth Development”.
The State Chairman NYCN urge the Commissioner to keep up with the good works, pointing out that the “eyes can see and the deaf, hear about the legacy you have implanted in developing Kogi Youths using personal resources”.
The highly elated Commissioner For Finance, Asiwaju Asiru Idris said he is dedicating the award to Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, pointing out that all he has done was to follow the Governor’s vision in building the youths.
” Gov. Ododo is the reason behind my modest impact. In all areas, begining from empowerment to appointment and in appointment of youths into positions of governance, the Governor has done well, surpassing his campaign promises”.
” Kogi State has never had it this good. There is a building on the block of what he inherited from former Gov Yahaya Bello. This is an example of a worthy successor and I’m proud associating with the administration”.
” I want to dedicate this award to Gov. Ododo, the good people of Kogi State who have believed in his administration and I can assure you that this is just more of what will happen in the State if citizens cooperate with the administration”.
Asiwaju Asiru assured that he will continue to provide the enabling environment for youths in the State to thrive, pointing out that in the last few weeks, he has secured federal and state appointments for youths, assured of more to come.
