Ananafe Foundation Unveiled In Agbede, Pledges To Transform Lives

A new non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering communities and creating sustainable opportunities, Ananafe Foundation, has been unveiled in Agbede, Ayuele Kingdom, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The unveiling ceremony, which took place at the Palace of the Oba of Agbede, attracted a crème of society across party lines, cultural groups, and political stakeholders, including the Vice Chairman of Etsako West LGA, Hon.Isa Tijani
In his address, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Saliu Braimah Ananafe, said the establishment of the Foundation was driven by deep concern for the wellbeing of the people and belief in their potential.
“Today is more than a ceremony. It is a moment of shared hope and a solemn promise to serve. We have gathered in the presence of our traditional institution, community leaders, families and partners to launch an organisation born out of deep concern for the wellbeing of our people and a firm belief in their potential,” he said.
He said the Foundation was established to support those in need, open doors for opportunity seekers, and help communities build a stronger and more dignified future.
According to him, the Foundation will support children whose education must not be interrupted, youth in need of skills and direction, families facing hardship, farmers and artisans seeking productive opportunities, and vulnerable members of society.
Ananafe stressed that meaningful change cannot be achieved through occasional assistance alone, but requires consistent service, responsible leadership and strategic partnerships.
He outlined the vision of the Foundation as a society where every individual has access to opportunity, empowerment and hope, while its mission is to transform lives through education, youth empowerment, humanitarian assistance, community development, healthcare advocacy, agricultural support and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
As part of its inaugural intervention, the Foundation announced the donation of more than 10,000 writing notebooks, over 250 school bags and other educational materials to primary school pupils across communities in Ayuele Kingdom.
“These may appear to be simple items, but they can make a meaningful difference in a child’s participation, confidence and progress at school,” Ananafe noted.
Commends Edo Ministry Of Health
The Foundation also appreciated the Edo State Ministry of Health for partnering with it on free medical outreach, stressing that government-community partnerships are essential to improving public health.
On agriculture, the founder said the Foundation intends to support farmers and young people interested in agriculture through training, empowerment, technical guidance and strategic partnerships, with emphasis on productive capacity and long-term sustainability.
He added that the Foundation is not established merely to distribute relief materials but to build capacity and promote self-reliance through its ASSESS, TRAIN, EQUIP, SUSTAIN approach.
“I assure you that the Foundation will be guided by compassion, fairness, responsibility and accountability. Our success will not be measured only by the number of programmes we organise. It will be measured by the lives we improve and the hope we restore,” he said.
Etsako West Vice Chairman Commends Initiative
In his remarks, the Vice Chairman of Etsako West LGA, Hon. Isa Tijani , who hails from Ayuele Kingdom who also represents the chairman of the local government, commended the founder for the initiative and urged well-meaning individuals to emulate him. He assured the Foundation of his personal support and also solicit that of the local government.
Other dignitaries at the event also poured encomium on the initiator and appealed to wealthy individuals to support the Foundation.
Highlights of the ceremony included free medical services for residents and testimonies fro
