‘An Icon of Service’: Kogi NULGE President Marks Onuh Edoka’s Birthday with Tributes

It was all praise on Sunday as Comr. Muhammad Sanusi, President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Kogi State Chapter, joined other well-wishers to celebrate Hon. Onuh Edoka, Special Adviser on Labour Matters to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The NULGE President described the celebrant as a mentor, a pride of the labour family, and the Onu Ogwu Oda Ojiji of Imane Kingdom whose influence cuts across tribe, faith and politics.

According to him, Edoka’s years at the helm of NLC Kogi were marked by sacrifice and bold advocacy. “He often chose the path of workers over personal comfort. That is why the movement trusted him with a historic second term,” he said.

Sanusi added that the birthday was more than a personal milestone; it was a celebration of a life spent defending the dignity of labour.

He prayed for more grace, wisdom and vitality for the labour icon, and urged the state to continue to honour citizens who lead with character and results.

” On behalf of the Local Government workers in the State, I celebrate a man whose heart is passionate about the struggle for workers welfare.
