AMB. ALEWA BECOMES NHFSS PATRON, URGES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO ACCENT THE BILL ESTABLISHING THE SECURITY OUTFITS.
The Group Managing Director/ Chairman of the Alewa Akawu Facilities Management limited, Ambassador Alewa Akawu Nasiru, FCCP, FICA has been Certified as the National Patron of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service,(NHFSS).
Ambassador Alewa was Presented with the Certificate along side other Eminent and Patrotic Nigerians at a One-Day Security Summit, organised by the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service,held, Tuesday April 30th,2024, at the Auditorium Hall of the National Centre for Women Development, Abuja, with the theme,”Enhancing National Security in Nigeria’s Forest: The Role and Integration of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service(NHFSS) in Combating Insecurity, Kidnapping, and Illegal Mining Activities.
Speaking to the media Shortly before he was Presented with the Certificate,Amb Alewa Akawu Commended members of the Security outfit for their Patroitism, Selflessness and Contributions towards the Security of lives and Property not only in the Nation’s forest but also the governed Spaces,he described the timing of the Summit as apt and timely, pointing out that the summit Couldn’t have taken place at a better time than now Considering the high rates of insecurity in the Country particularly, the ungoverned Space which has poised threat to Agricultural activities and other Sources of livelihood engaged by Nigerians.
He Called on the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government to as a matter of urgency accent to the Bill establishing the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service, (NHFSS) to guarantee Safety in the Nation’s forest for agricultural activities to thrive, towards food Security, employment and National Prosperity.
Hear him, ” accenting to the bill by Mr President has become a Necessity,all the Nation’s resources are found in the forest,the minerals resources, the Crude oil and more importantly, our food Crops, so, Federal Government must do Something urgently”, he said.
He said the federal government must do all they could to safeguard the Nation’s forest, and this Could easily be achieved by engaging the Services of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service,(NHFSS) lamenting a Situation where farmers could no longer access their farms due to the activities of Bandits and other forms of insecurity that poised threat to them, a Scenario which according to him has led to Scarcity of food and increase in the price of food in the Market thereby leading to economic hardship in the Country.
