Aloji Community in Ofu LGA of Kogi State hosts dignitaries as former Governor Wada, Echocho Attend 8th day fidau prayers for late Hajia Hawa Hassan


 

It was a day of sober reflection and a time also to express gratitude to Almighty Allah as the good people of Aloji community in Ofu LGA and Kogi State converged for the 8th day fidau prayers and the reflection on the life and times of late Hajia Hawa Hassan, mother of Dr. Ocholi Hassan, a former banker and staff of NARSDA, Abuja.

 


Late Hajia Hawa Hassan was untill her death , a philanthrophist and a crusader of girl-child education. She was a graduate of one of the famous universities in Nigeria. Thousands of people came from far and near to pay their last respect to her and to witness the 8th day fidau prayers as well to commesurate with the family and associates she has left behind.

 


One of the deceased sons, Dr. Ocholi Hassan stated that,his mother celebrated her 58th birthday barely 3 days before her sudden death, but as a family, they are consoled by her examplary conduct as she was a practising muslim and a good mother to all.

According to Dr. Ocholi ,the celebration of her birthday witnessed dignitaries from across Kogi State and Nigeria, but never did they know that,that would be the last moment for their beloved mother.
An Islamic scholar , Alhaji Mesuna Malle who preached on the need for muslims to shun corruption stated that,there is no amount of money acquired that could prevent death as he described death as necessary end to mankind and advices the public office holders who are entrusted with public funds to use it judiciously for the purpose intended as a day of accountability will surely come as he urged all practising muslims to create time to worship Allah as He is the giver of life and wealth. He admonished well-to-do individuals to assist the less privileged in the society.
A former Executive Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada stated that,he was shock by the news of Hajia Hawa Hassan death after the Celebrations of her 58th year birthday few days back,but as a muslim, no one knows the time or day that death would come and prayed for the family to take solace in the Almighty God and prayed for Allah to grant her Aljanat firdausi.
Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho also consoled with the family and friends as he prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest.
In a statement by one of her son, Dr.Ocholi Hassan, Hajia Hawa Hassan was born to the family of late Shuaibu Egbunu Achimugu on 18th August,1964, she attended the famous Holy Rosery College, Idah,Kogi State and obtained her O level certificate in flying colours before she proceeded for her degree certificate.
She was employed into the services of then ,Benue State Government and later deployed to Kogi State after the creation of the state on 27th August,1991 as chief store officer with the Kogi State Ministry of Education.
She was a philanthropist per excellent, a woman with the heart of gold and a dedicated muslim.
She is survived by her aged mother and two children,among them is Dr. Hassan Abdulraman Ocholi.
She died at the age of 58 years.
