The Kogi State Accountant General, Alh Jibril Momoh have been presented to with the APC Kogi gubernatorial interest and nomination form to contest the state coming governorship election by a group of friends and well wishers within and outside Kogi State.
The Form which was presented to Jibril Momoh by the head of the Group, Hon Paul Ebije at his Abuja Residence came to him as a shock.
The accountant general who received the form responded to the group that this came to me as a surprise and one of the pleasant act of love ever done to me. I am so speechless, humbled and highly honoured. I can’t thank you enough for this act of love, it is indeed a big deal for me he said.
According to Momoh; although groups and others persons have been approaching and imploring me to join the Governorship race and most recently my principal and boss shortlisted my name among other deserving and satisfied persons under his leadership and he found me worthy to join the race but while I was still making up my mind and still consulting widely, you have gone out of your individual purse to purchase me the form already, My gratitude has no bound.
While appreciating the group for the show of love, the accountant General added that all glory be returned to Almighty Allah who is the author of all that I am and have become today and highly significant to acknowledge my able boss and principal Governor Yahaya Bello. I deeply appreciate him for seeing ability in me and gave me the opportunity to serve the state as Accountant General; his exemplary and developmental leadership got me obsessed with development and good governance and this informed my dedication to public service.
While diligently doing my saddled duty to the state; I never knew the masses were noticing me and my modest dispositions to public service have gathered this magnitude of admirers, lovers and well wishers who have found me worthy to succeed His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello. He said.
I wholeheartedly accept the call to serve and by the grace of God I shall justify the confidence and trust repose in me. The foundation, roadmaps and process has been established already by My principal Governor Yahaya Bello; I will simply leverage in that to solidify, stabilize and build up on his legacies. I will take advantage of been an insider of this present government who knows how far work have gone and where and how to continue our developmental strides.
For me it is a season of renewed vision, renewed opportunities and renewed possibilities for Kogi state.
I thank you immensely for this love and Honour done on me, I promise to make it worthwhile by the grace of God. I implore you all not to relent or go to rest having given me this form to contest, I still look forward to your prayers, support, canvassing and campaigns to achieve this. Momoh added that We must take advantage of our diversity in tribe, ethnicity and religion to take this renewed vision agenda for kogi state to our various districts and domain and sensitize all and sundry to embrace Unity, competence, progressive development and good governance amongst other good virtues he represent against any other underdevelopment or primitive mentality of sectional sentiments. Let our people know kogi is one and we are indivisible and all that we need as a people is genuine love and unity and all that we desire will begin to manifest. Tell our people the good works of Governor Yahaya Bello demands proper nurturing to stability and it is easier and better entrusted with someone who knows and understand the the working templates and roadmap of the system he said.
