Ajileye
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi West, Pastor Stanley Ajileye, has reiterated the district’s determination to produce the next governor of Kogi State in 2027, declaring the aspiration “non, negotiable” while urging supporters to remain focused on ongoing political priorities.
Ajileye, in a statement made available to journalists, said the Kogi West governorship bid is the culmination of over fifteen years of sustained agitation, sacrifice, and collective resolve by the people of the district.
He noted that while the long, term objective remains clear, stakeholders must avoid distractions and resist attempts by what he described as “political jobbers” seeking to derail the movement through premature permutations and divisive tendencies.
The APC stalwart emphasized that the immediate task before party faithful and supporters is the success of the Tinubu,Karimi agenda, particularly the re,election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the continued representation of Steve Sunday Karimi at the National Assembly.
According to him, both leaders represent critical pillars for political stability, continuity, and strategic advantage for Kogi West within the national landscape.
Ajileye further called for unity within the All Progressives Congress, stressing that cohesion and loyalty will be essential in securing electoral victories in the coming political cycle.
He acknowledged that endorsements and alignments would intensify as the 2027 elections approach, but maintained that the ultimate endorsement would come from the people at the appropriate time.
While noting that the governorship election is still some months away, he said consultations, grassroots mobilisation, and alliance building have already commenced across the district.
Ajileye concluded by urging stakeholders not to lose sight of the present objective, insisting that the Tinubu,Karimi Project remains the immediate pursuit.
He added that sustained grassroots engagement and disciplined focus will be key in achieving both the short, term political goals and the broader ambition of securing the Kogi governorship for Kogi West in 2027.
