On the 25th of February, 2023, the good people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, in an overwhelming and unprecedented electoral decision at the poll, elected their great son, *SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM* who contested on the platform of *APC* to represent the people at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly for the next political dispensation.
*SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM* , a retired Permanent Secretary in the Kogi State Civil Service, a successful businessman, a philanthropist, a Chartered Accountant, a Law Graduate, a farmer and owner of an International Business Organization, ( *BASESAN GROUP OF COMPANIES)* contested for the first time in political history and won a seat to represent his people at the green chambers of the National Assembly.
SEA’s emergence came at a time the good people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency needs a true representation to bridge the underdevelopment gap of his people and to help meet the yearnings of the people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency whose decades of existence as a Local Government Area is yet to bring the needed succour to the people.
In the words of Reps-Elect *SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM,* “I ventured into contesting for this election because i think it is time for me to do so, in tune with an inspiration from Almighty Allah and deem it necessary to rise up to the occasion of contributing meaningful to the development of my home and helping to uplift the standard of the living of the people.
“Over the years, I’ve involved in personal projects that has directly benefited the people of my communities, i have helped the widows regain confidence, I’ve rolled out scholarship schemes to our deserving students, I’ve helped to improve the quality of artisans, I’ve helped our market women improve their businesses through financial empowerments and assisted our teaming youths gain employments but i felt it isn’t enough for our people so i need a more functional and higher platform to operate to further help our people to excell so as a House of Representatives member in the forthcoming National Assembly, i will be able to assist to bring governance closer to my people with reasonable and better opportunities.”
As a first time contestant, *SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM* won the Feb. 25th general elections with ease because he is rooted with the downtrodden, helping to put smiles on the faces of the people in the grassroot, uplifting the women, connecting the youths to the world, helping the older citizens, creating job opportunities for our youths and providing physical developments such as the building of culverts, providing transformers, providing boreholes, constructing and upgrading roads, helping to improve the standard of Education and lot’s more.
On the outcome of the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections in Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, *SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM* emphasized that, “Elections has come and gone and we will continue to remain as a people with common heritage and identity and to me, the outcome of the just concluded election produced *NO WINNER* and *NO VANQUISH* , so i use this medium to call on the candidates of the *PDP* , *NNPP* and other political parties who are runner-up in the just concluded election to join hands with me to fashion a formidable front for the good and benefit of our people.”
On the 11th day of March, 2023, the good people of Ajaokuta LGA will go into another poll to elect who will represent them at the Kogi State House of Assembly. This is, however, a clarion call to remind our people that there is only one credible, reliable, dependable and intelligent Candidate that we can all trust an put our hope on to bring to us good and fair representation and the person is Hon. *JIBRIL* *ABU* of the *APC* . Let’s come out en-masse to vote for this *APC* candidate for greater Ajaokuta LGA.
Speaking to the press, the Ajaokuta Federal Constituency House of Reps-Elect, *SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM* on a final note, recalled that *APC* has won all elections in the just concluded February 25th general elections and our President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged the winner, our Senatorial Candidate, *Engr Abubakar Ohere* has been duly elected, and i have been elected by the people as the House of Representatives member so i implore you all to keep up the high spirit to vote massively for our House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. *JIBRIL* *ABU* come March 11th, 2023 so that the chain of development, unity, progress and prosperity, through the *APC* can get to us as a people.
