The member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, has flagged off the distribution of food items to his constituents in collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
Addressing the crowd, Hon SEA expressed his commitment to the welfare of the people, revealing that he personally visited several humanitarian offices to advocate for Ajaokuta’s inclusion in the relief programme.
“I complained on behalf of all of you, and that is how I was able to facilitate these food items and other relief materials,” he stated.
He further acknowledged the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who had charged all representatives to deliver the dividends of democracy to their people. According to SEA, the instruction is being taken seriously under the reliable leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
“We shall continue to build on this vision to ensure we collectively develop Ajaokuta, our dear state and nation,” he added.
The lawmaker referenced his mega empowerment programme yesterday, where valuable items were distributed to hundreds of beneficiaries, noting that the current relief materials are a continuation of his people-oriented initiatives.
He urged ward representatives to ensure equitable distribution of the food items without bias or political consideration.
“I am not a representative for one group, I represent everyone. The food should reach all Ajaokutans,” he emphasized.
In addition, beneficiaries of his ₦10,000 monthly stipend for elderly citizens, men and women who can no longer cater for themselves, were issued ATM cards to access their stipends for a period of six months as part of a special intervention fund.
The event was graced by royal fathers, party stalwarts, Kogi State Youth Council and numerous beneficiaries, all of whom expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Abdulraheem Egidi for his quality representation and consistent humanitarian efforts.
