The Executive Chairman of Yagba West LGA, Chief Pius Gbemishola Kolawole today paid a scheduled visit to the ongoing construction of Ajaforunti – Oja Egbe road repairs that is being facilitated by Hon. Sunday Karimi, a former House of Representatives Member.
The visit by the Council Chairman today was for an on the spot assessment, described the efforts of Hon. Karimi’s as the heights of a man’s unquenchable love for his people.
Chief Pius Kolawole was so happy with the level of development on the road repairs, said it is complementing the efforts of Government, urged others to emulate his good gesture.
The Council Chairman appreciated Hon. Karimi for his efforts so far on the road and in other interventions in providing potable water and light to the people, said “This is great. Leader(Karimi) is doing a very good job here.”
The Executive Chairman took time to walk along the road, made some observations and suggestions for which as at press time most of his suggestions had been corrected, thus bringing relief to Motorists and Commuters plying the road.
Similarly, Chief Kayode John Olutayo, the Secretary to Yagba West Local government described the efforts of Hon. Karimi as unusual, particularly coming at a time he is not holding political office, amidst the financial challenges in the country, prayed God to bless him for his good works.
In a remarks, Hon Olokun Tosin, Representative of Hon. Karimi welcomed the Executive Chairman, said the former Lawmaker embarked on the road repairs to help reduce the sufferings faced by the people.
Hon Karimi Steven Sunday is APC Kogi West leading Senatorial District Aspirant, has in the last couple of weeks embarked on some infrastructural development, including the repairs of the damaged portion of Ajaforunti – Oja Egbe road in Yagba West LGA.
Speaking with the Nigerianpost, Market Women and Motorist heaved sigh of relief, disclosed that today being a market day would have been a hectic day for them if not for the intervention of the Lawmaker, showered a lot of prayers for Hon Karimi whom they disclosed took them by surprise, by helping to reduce the usual hardship they do face on the road before.
