OBA EWUARE II, OMO N’ OBA N’ EDO, UKU AKPOLO KPOLO, OBA OF BENIN, THE FEARLESS, CONQUERING AND PROGRESSIVE GODSKING:
Oba Ewuare II, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolo Kpolo, Oba of Benin is the 40th Oba of Benin, crowned on October 20th, 2016. We the great people of great Benin Empire/Kingdom called Oba Ewuare II GodsKing because he is our God representative on Earth. Our GodsKing is a fearless and progressive first class King who has championed cultural revival and preservation, administrative reforms, and social justice. Some of our GodsKing notable achievements includes:
*CULTURAL RESTORATION*: Our GodsKing has successfully negotiated the return of looted Benin Bronzes from institutions like the University of Aberdeen and Jesus College, Cambridge, Netherlands, etc. Similarly, our GodsKing prevented the enemies of Benin Kingdom whose intentions were to re-loot our returned stolen artifacts from having access to them and also championing the construction of BENIN ROYAL MUSEUM where the returned stolen artifacts will be kept permanently.
*ADVOCACY AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING*: Our GodsKing issued a spiritual curse against human traffickers and juju priests involved in the practice which attracted global commendation and International Funds which the immediate past government hijacked without recourse to our GodsKing who proffered solutions to the complex problem. Today, it is on record that the effort of our GodsKing has reduced human traffickingdrastically.
*COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT*: Our GodsKing established the Oba Ewuare II Foundation, which provides skills acquisition training and support for vulnerable individuals and offering of free health programmes to Edo people on yearly basis.
*DEVELOPMENT & YOUTH EMPOWERMENT*: Our GodsKing inaugurated the Oba Ewuare II Satellite Town project to boost decentralization, economic activity, and youth empowerment. Currently, plans are underway to commence the laudable project.
*PEACEBUILDING*: Our GodsKing, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolo Kpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin, has been playing mediation and Intervention role across several stratas of life while promoting peaceful co-existence amongst affected people.
Under our GodsKing leadership, the Benin Kingdom has seen significant development and cultural preservation & revival efforts.
