With profound gratitude to God Almighty, permit me to use this medium to formally congratulate our very dear brother and friend, Idowu Owohunwa on his most-deserving elevation to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police by the Police Service Commission.
Indeed, having followed your steady career progression and professional achievements in the Nigerian Police Force, over the years, one can confidently and proudly state that your elevation to this exclusive class and and distinguished status in the NPF is not only timely but honour most-deserving.
At every operational posting, command appointment and professional assignment within the NPF and national security engagements, you always distinguished yourself creditably. At all times, you exhibit uncommon fervour, unfeigned commitment and unusual passion in the realization of set objectives and the institutional vision of the NPF. Through your time-tested and serially-proven professional competencies, organisational capacities and intellectual fecundity you have risen and occupied very sensitive and strategic positions in the NPF.
No doubt, this professional-lift is a worthy recognition and institutional endorsement of your continued service to the NPF and our dear country. Happily, by this unique promotion to the special class of AIG, you have unarguably emerged as the “very first” to attain such rank in Owe Land; the “most senior” police officer (at the moment) from Okun Nation; and one of the very few police officers (from Okun Nation) to ever attain the rank of Assistant Inspector-General in the history of the Nigerian Police Force.
As I join numerous others to savour the joy, blessings and euphoria of this noble and novel professional progression, it is my earnest prayer that the Lord shall accelerate your eventual promotion to the zenith of your career; emerging the Inspector-General of Police.
