AIG ABUBAKAR RECEIVES ZONE 8 PCRC CHAIRPERSON ON A COURTESY VISIT, STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION FOR EFFECTIVE COMMUNITY POLICING APPROACH IN THE ZONE
The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 8, Headquarters comprising of Kogi and Kwara States Police Commands, AIG Abubakar Zubairu, psc (+) received the zonal PCRC Executive led by the Chairperson, Hajiya Rabietu Okute who double as the Kogi State Commissioner for Humanitarian service on a courtesy visit.
In her remarks, the Chairperson stated that, the visit aimed at strengthening collaboration with the zonal headquarters in ensuring effective implementation of community policing in Kogi and Kwara States respectively. She further expressed deep appreciation to the AIG for the warm reception as she acknowledged the crucial role of the Zone in maintaining Law and Order. She assured of unwavering commitment of the zonal PCRC in sustaining cordiality between the Police and the PCRC.
In his Response, the AIG appreciated the PCRC Zonal Chairperson and other executive members for the visit and advised that the constitution must be properly followed as expected. He further urged the PCRC for active partnership and support through intelligence sharing to the Police for enhance security in the zone. Noting that security is a collective responsibilities where the public has a role to play in securing their environment.
The visit featured a robust interactive session where issues on community policing activities were deliberated upon.
