AHEAD OF 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS 2BABA FOUNDATION TRAINS AND INAUGURATES SENATORIAL DISTRICT COORDINATORS FOR VOTE NOT FIGHT CAMPAIGN IN KOGI STATE.


 

2 Baba Foundation on 1st of November has trained and inaugurated the Vote Not fight Campaign senatorial district coordinators for Kogi state.

 

The one day training took place at Albarka conference hall in lokoja with all incoming coordinators present.

 

The Vote Not Fight Campaign is a youth-focused non-profit and non-partisan campaign, that seeks to increase the participation of youths in Nigeria’s political and electoral processes by promoting peaceful and constructive youth engagement with their peers, statesmen, political stakeholders, the electoral umpire, security agencies and the media before, during, and after elections.

The training which aimed at building the capacity of coordinators with focus on achieving the vote not fight campaign objectives in Kogi state

The training centered on the right to advocacy, community organizing and the prerequisites for achieving the objectives of the campaign.

Nigeria’s Electoral legal framework, the electoral act, Offenses and punishment, identify Allie’s, Targets and coalitions for the Champaign were also treated.

Senatorial district coordinators took turns to make their presentations on Violent hot spots in their area, triggers of electoral violence and also approaches to mitigate violence.

After the day long training, the various coordinators took Oath of office and where inaugurated into the team.
AUDU OMAYOZA SIKIRATU is to coordinate Kogi Central
IBRAHIM DANASABE YAKUB for Kogi west while IDACHE OJONUGWA
Kogi East.
Beanard Ajewole is responsible for coordinating the vote not fight Campaign in Kogi state.

In an earlier remarks by the Program Officer 2baba Foundation,
Janice congratulated the coordinators and enjoined them to be good ambassadors and see their roles in the campaign as contributing their quota to national development.
