Again, NNPP Suffers Another Setback In Kogi As Entire Ankpa Excos Resigns.
The New Nigeria People’s party (NNPP,), has Suffers a major setback as the entire Ankpa local government Area Excos of the party resigned their membership of the party in the LGA including some wards Excos.
This is coming few days after several key chieftains left the party in the state, accusing the leadership of the party in state of selling the party governorship primary to the highest bidder.
The PRO of Ankpa LG of the party who brief newsmen said their leader Alh. Ahmed Sani exit from the party is a monumental lost to the party in the area and the Kogi East entirely, and for that, they said they cannot remain in the party anymore.
He said most of the executives were attracted to NNPP by the leadership styles of Alh Ahmed Sani whose popularity cut across the LGA.
They attributed the success of the party in Kogi East to the contribution and grassroots mobilization efforts of Alh. Sani at all levels.
The PRO opined that the leadership of NNPP also lacks a formidable structure in the state to become a strong opposition party to contest the incoming governorship election in the state.
The Excos unanimously pledge their support to Ahmed Sani, they promised to follow him to any party he align with.
NNPP has been enmeshed into internal crises since the conduct of the party primary that produced Dr. Mubarak Musa and Hon Hassan Abdullahi Baiwa respectively.
