As campaigns for the 2023 General Election officially commence, I enjoin all aspirants to adopt issue base campaign rather than that which seeks to drag an opponent, aspirants and supporters alike should respect the freedom and opinion of others as all is entitled to their opinion.
As we work and pray for a violence free general election in Nigeria, all those who are on the social media space shouldn’t forget that an individual owns his or her handle(social media account) and by extension is entitled to post whatever he/she desires to post about his/her candidate, instead of attacking if you do not agree with the person you should use your own page to also post what you like about your own candidate rather than making posts that seeks to counter the other persons post. Focus on issue based campaign,tell people why your candidate should be voted for rather than telling the weaknesses or your dismay about an opponent. It is worthy of note that the more you mention an opponent in a way of bringing them down, you end up making such person more popular.
I charge the Youths of this great nation to stay off all forms of violence or criminal activities and make sure they collect their PVC when it’s ready, endeavor to cast their vote on Election Day.
I wish Nigeria a free, fair and credible general election devoid of all forms of violence before during and after the election.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria ?? and her citizenry.
