Adesanya-Davies bags NANNS Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Distinguish Leadership Award 2022


 

UN subsidiary honors Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies with honorary awards of Peace and Humanity

The National Association of Northern Nigeria Students (NANNS) has honoured Ambassador Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies with Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Distinguish Leadership Award of 2022 edition.

According to a statement on Monday,the grand event took place at 11am, at the Grand Ibro Hotel Annex, Wuse Zone 5, FCT, Abuja on Friday.

Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies also affirmatively made her presidential declaration: “May I state clearly that, I am set to take over from president Muhammadu Buhari as next President of Nigeria in 2023.”

She also appealed to Russia and Ukraine to put an end to their war.

“The mother’s plea is to appease both sides without apportioning any blame,”Adesanya-Davies said.

Recall that Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, a frontline female presidential aspirant and Kwara-born IRA Princess, and Presidential candidate of Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) in the 2019 election is so far the only amazon in the 2023 Presidential race on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the oldest and largest political party in Nigeria and Africa.

The representative of National Association of Northern Nigeria Students (NANNS) from the nineteen (19) Northern states of Nigeria, who were present at the occasion presented to her with the “Sir Amadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Distinguish Leadership Award,”as an icon of societal development in recognition of her immense contribution towards national development, educational upliftment, youth engagement and service to humanity. They said, “We welcome you to NANNY HALL OF FAME, our dear madam!”

Present at the special award presentation were NANNS representativem Comrade. Hassan Usman, the NANNS National Secretary-General Comrade. Hassan Usman El-yakub, National Secretary; Comrade Abubakar Mohd Gumel; National Treasurer, Comrade. Abdulkadir ka’oje; National Coordinator, Sen. Ummulkhursul Oyenze; National Gender Director, Comrade Shafa’atu Abdul’azi; and National Financial Secretary, brahim Isa Kagara.

An earlier letter sent to her reads in part:

Adesanya-Davies again bags the Award of CAPH, Honorary Doctorate and Professorial Awards of Peace and Humanity of The Change Ambassador for Peace and Humanity (CAPH), a subsidiary of the United Nations Peace Volunteer and YELI International from International Institutions, which include, Yeshua International School of Theology with Diplomatic Passport, at the same event in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria, for her outstanding leadership disposition and gaiety. Amongst others, another strong female personality, Barr. Florence Olubunmi Akaakar, a Snr. Lecturer at the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, accompanied by her husband Engr. Ben Akaakar amongst others, also received the only CAPH / YELI International Honorary Doctorate and Professorial Awards of Public law of the day. This is an initiative of YELL International and other national, international institutions and global peace partnering organisations.

Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies while dedicating the Awards to the Almighty God, who gave her the privilege, and NANNS students said, she is now more determined to continue to serve the youths and the entire nation as a whole especially come 2023 if elected as the first female President of the Federal republic of Nigeria. I have a dream that one day a woman will become the president of Nigeria to reform and transform the nation, and the dream is now!” She reinstated.

Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies affirmatively made her Presidential declaration: “May I state clearly that, “I am set to take over from president Muhammadu Buhari as next President of Nigeria in 2023. I have a dream that one day a woman will become the president of Nigeria to reform the nation, and the dream is now. I make this declaration in good faith, that I have the vision, mission, dream, drive, knowledge, courage and capacity to reshape Nigeria with a feminine touch in grand style and lead the country to social, economic and political stability and advancement through my PMA ADVANCED RESTRUCTURING AGENDA.”

She also thanked CAPH / YELI International for the confidence reposed in her, and for the opportunity and honour; to present a paper, receive the awards, as well as re-affirmed her commitment and determination to her declaration to contest as the next President of Nigeria come 2023 by the grace of God, under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, the largest political party in Nigeria and Africa as the flag bearer.

Mercy also delivered a paper at the event titled: “Russia/Ukraine Crisis: The Plea of Mothers in Post Covid-19 Era”. It reads in part, “The main aim of this paper is to appeal, plead, and persuade all involved in the spirit of peace and one love to please put an end to the Ukraine/Russia war. The mother’s plea is to appease both sides without apportioning any blame.

We as mothers in the world write to appeal the decision of the war and it’s current escalation in Ukraine and Russia. No apportioning of blames to any side or party at all please – JUST A PLEA ! We appeal to Ukraine and Russia and NATO and the rest countries taking sides. We pray for the various world leaders involved in diplomacy over Ukraine and Russia. This is to have the situation reconsidered, and overturned without any form of blame game. I write and speak in my capacity as the Country President and International Director of the United Nations Positive Livelihood Award Centre, International Peace Advocate (UN-POLAC). PLEASE, ACCEPT THE PLEA OF MOTHERS IN THIS POST COVID-19 ERA. Our world is just recovering and healing from COVID -19, and we can’t afford another world war.” She concluded.

We would recall that the Niger Delta Students Union Government (NDSUG) endorsed the presidential aspiration of Adesanya-Davies, as President of Nigeria in 2019, after the umbrella body of the nation’s students’ unions- National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has honoured Adesanya-Davies with its “Most Outstanding Leadership Award” of the year 2018, with presidential endorsement. According to a letter sent to the presidential hopeful by NANS, the Award is an Award of Excellence in Service and Outstanding Leadership, pointing out that the Award was in recognition of her invaluable contributions to youth empowerment, excellence in service and outstanding leadership over the years. The Award was sent by NANS President Aruna Kadiri, and presented to her by the representative of NANS’ President, Nwala Chetam Thierry, in her office at Rivers State University of Education, Port-Harcourt.

FUNMILAYO ADESANYA-DAVIES, a linguist educationist public servant since 1988, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, has served as a University lecturer and administrator for thirty-six (36) years, 1985 to-date as a consultant, researcher and activist to-date.
