The leadership of the ADC on Friday hailed the contributions of the Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , Chief John Odigie-Oyegun following his support for the party, describing the latter as the number one chieftain of the ADC in Edo State.

The ADC also pledged to demonstrate its readiness to win the forthcoming by-election across the country scheduled for August 16th, 2025.

Speaking in Benin during a well-attended stakeholders meeting held at the residence of Chief John Odigie Oyegun, who was a former Edo governor and erstwhile APC national chairman, ADC National Vice Chairman South South, Mr. Festus Igbinoba enjoined all her members from the length and breadth of the country to keep faith with the party.

Igbinoba stated that there is no discrimination in the ADC , just as he welcomed all the political parties’ leaders and politicians coming to pitch tents with the ADC.

According to him, the party has no new or old members, hence the need for all members to see themselves as equal.

Igbinoba dismissed the insinuations by political opponents that the ADC had been hijacked by some disgruntled policians.

While calling for unity of purpose to enable the ADC to challenge the ruling party in future elections, he said the August 16th by-election across the country will confirm the party’s preparedness and determination to rescue the country from the ruling party.
