ADC House of Rep Aspirant Hon. El-Shettima Agbogun Quits Party Over Treatment of Lokoja Ward A

ADC House of Rep Aspirant Hon. El-Shettima Agbogun Quits Party Over Treatment of Lokoja Ward A

Hon. El-Shettima Peter Agbogun, House of Representatives aspirant for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has resigned his membership of the party with immediate effect.

In a letter to the ADC Ward A Chairman, Agbogun said the decision came after deep reflection on recent developments that made it difficult for him to remain active and effective within the party.

Agbogun, who holds the traditional titles of Kaigama of Lokoja and Galadima of Agbaja, said he had served the ADC loyally for years, contributing time, resources, and experience to strengthen the party at the ward level.

He cited what he described as persistent unfair treatment of Lokoja Ward A during his tenure, noting that despite his sacrifices, recent events no longer aligned with his principles and political aspirations.

“While I step away from the party, I remain firmly committed to the ideals of good governance, democratic values, and the development of our constituency, state, and nation,” he stated.

Copies of the letter were sent to Distinguished Senator Tunde Ogbeha, Alhaji Musa Ahmadu, Hon. Yabagi Bologi, and the ADC Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Area.

Agbogun wished the party leadership and members well in their future endeavors.
