The Convener, Congress for Better Nigeria, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has condemned the Killings and Kidnapping activities in Kabba/Bunu LGA in recent weeks.
The Convener while speaking with Newsmen after an attack on some worshippers today, condemned in strong terms the recent upsurge of banditry activities which has resulted in killings and kidnapping of people in Kabba Bunu LGA in recent weeks, urged Security agencies to up their games by fishing out the criminals.
The Convener urged security agencies to match words with action by rescueing those that are kidnapped and to also apprehend the perpetrators, said the recent action in the State is aimed at tarnishing the hard earned reputation of Gov. Yahaya Bello in the area of security.
He noted that Governor Yahaya Bello’s success story in the security sector of the state cannot be rubbished by sponsored State attacks, attributed one of reason for the attacks to influx of bandits fleeing from other states, said this must be stopped as the Security record of Gov. Bello was already seen as an advantage for his Presidential aspiration.
He charged the security agents to up their game in curbing the nefarious activities of the hoodlums, lamented that with the Mobile Police base and other security agencies deployed in and around the area, lamented the upsurge in Gunmen attacks.
He appealed to the residents to support and cooperate with the security agents in the area by reporting all strange movements to appropriate authorities, saying the Police must do more to abdicate themselves from allegations of connivance.
The Convener sympathized with families of the deceased and the people of Kabba community for the unfortunate and untimely death of their loved ones, assuring that the end of the bandits, kidnappers, terrorists in whatever guise in Kabba Bunu LGA has come to an end with the recent action.
