ActionAid Releases Communique after a 2-day Media Master class for Journalists in Kogi and Nasarawa States.


 

Communique issued after a 2-day Media Master class for Journalists in Kogi and Nasarawa States organised by ActionAid Nigeria on the 17th and 18th of August 2021 at Kini Country-Inn Akwanga, Nasarawa State, with the theme; Passing the Baton: Co-creating Sustainable Peace through Journalism in pursuance of the System and Structure Strengthening Approach against Radicalization to Violent Extremism (SARVE II) Project.

Following exhaustive training and active engagement, participants resolved that journalists and media professionals should:

1 Strive to be fair, equitable and just in their reportage

2 Endeavour to promote peace through their reportage

9 Source for funding from donor agencies to fund their stories that can impact society

10 Familiarise themselves with the SDG goals to promote their career.
