ActionAid Country Director, Mrs. Ene Obi Meet With Kogi State Youth Development Commission; Promise Continuous Support.


 

The ActionAid Country Director Mrs Ene Obi on Saturday met with a delegation of The Kogi State Youth Development Commission led by the Administrative Secretary Hon. Idakwoji Hauwa Rose at the PIBCID office in phase 1 Lokongoma Lokoja. Other members include Comrade Israel Alonge, Representative of the National Youth Council of Nigeria and Miss Eunice Agbogun, Representative of the Civil Society.

Also present at the meeting were Halima Sadiq (PIBCID) and Friday Ogezi, Anicetus Atakpu of ActionAid.

The brief meeting which was a follow up on the capacity building/retreat organized and facilitated for members of the Kogi Youth Development Commission by the ActionAid Nigeria in September at Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

Hon. Hauwa while addressing the country Director thanked the ActionAid Nigeria and seek for more collaboration to enable the commission achieve it’s targets.

Responding, Mrs Obi Ene assured the Commission that the ActionAid Nigeria will continue to offer institutional support and partnership in project including Scholarship restoration in Kogi state for the Vulnerable.

“The ActionAid Nigeria will also take care of the logistics to ensure that the commission participate in an Online capacity building and also include the commission along with PIBCID, Public Defenders and Citizens Right Commission for capacity building on FUND RAISING”. Mrs Obi said.

Mrs Obi Ene promised the continuous support of ActionAid Nigeria in making sure the commission finds its feet. She appreciate members of the Commission for paying her visit. Mrs Obi Ene was in the State capital for the grand finale of the 2021 Youth Peace Camp which ended on Friday 1st October 2021.
