The Elulu of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun, is expected to serve as the Chairman in the 2025 Mid Year, The Nigerian Post Newspaper/ Margret Ekpo Memorial Award.

The nomination of Elulu of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun to Chair the event is in view of his outstanding contribution in support of upliftment of women, Children, vulnerable in the society.

His nomination as Chairman also followed his impact in providing succour for the less privileged in his dormain.

According to the Nigerian Post, beyond his service to humanity, The Elulu of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun has been a strong support to the Nigerian Post Newspaper and other worthy causes as captured in service objectives to humanity by the Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre.

In a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja by the Publisher and Editor in Chief, Abu Michael, said the nomination for the mid year award was for persons and organizations that have contributed handsomely to the upliftment of women, Children and the vulnerable in the society.

The Publisher said the Nigerian Post Newspaper in conjunction with the Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre, Calabar, had called for nomination for suitably qualified individuals and organizations for this year’s The Nigerian Post/Margaret Ekpo Memorial Lecture and Award.

The nomination he said could be through upliftment advocacy, fighting for rights of women and children, payment of school fees, granting of scholarships, building of health and educational institutions and support to other forms of support for the vulnerable groups in the society, a support that has helped brought succour to the less privileged.
