Council of Ulama’u Holds Prayers For Amiru-Hajj, 566 intending pilgrims from Kogi State.

The Kogi State Council of Ulama’u of Nigeria today Sunday 6th Dhul- Qa’adah 1446H/4th May, 2025 organised a special prayer for the Amiru-Hajj for this year’s annual Hajj, Alhaji Idris Babango, the Administrative Secretary of the Council.

Similarly, the prayers was also organized for leadership, management and officials of the State Hajj Commission, as well as the five hundred and sixty-six (566) intending pilgrims from the State.

The Council also offered special prayers for His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmad Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State, members of the State Executive Council and entire people of the State.

The prayers were led by Shaikh Abdullahi Mambo, Sarkin Mallamai of Lokoja and Council’s Chief Imam. The session had prominent and eminent Islamic Scholars in attendance including Honourable Justice Olorunfemi (Rtd), former Grand Kadi of Kogi State, Honourable Justice Danladi I. Yakubu, Kogi State Sharia Court of Appeal, Honourable Justice M. M. Bello, Kogi State Sharia Court of Appeal, Secretary, Kogi Local Government Branch of the Council and prominent members of the Council at the Council’s Headquarters and beyond.

Council used the opportunity to again thank His Excellency for finding one its own worthy of this prestigious appointment and asked Almighty ALLAH to Guide the Governor throughout his administration ameen thumma ameen.

It asked both the officials and intending pilgrims to pray fervently for the State, its leadership and the nation.

Council assured them of its continuous prayers throughout the course of the pilgrimage

It thanked all those who participated in the program and asked Almighty ALLAH to Reward them abundantly, ameen thumma ameen.
