Easter Celebration; Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris greet Christians, calls for total adherence to the teachings of jesus christ
The Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has extended warm greetings to the Christian body in kogi State to commemorate the Celebration of easter, which conotes the death and resurrection of jesus christ.
In his Easter message to the people of yagba in particular and kogites in general, Asiwaju asserts that the Easter Celebration vividly represents the deep love of christ for all, which was made manifest in his death and resurrection. The death is a demonstration of love and sacrifice, and his resurrection brought hope and light, which darkness can not comprehend.
The Honourable Commissioner urges Christians to imbibe the undivided teachings and exemplary life of jesus christ through love, selflessness, sacrifice, and forgiveness, which he demonstrated via his death and resurrection.
In his words, ” Christians must stay committed to the path of righteousness, as a way to acknowledge the huge love and sacrifice God Almighty showed to mankind by giving unto us only his begotten son for the redemption of our sins and to reconcile us to him.”
“Easter is an important time for Christians, a season of sobriety and reflection which appropriately reminds us the essence of the death and resurrection that brought hope over despondency, light for darkness and love over hate.
“Just as jesus christ showed unconditional love and made sacrifices for humanity, let us also follow suit by being patriotic citizens by putting the state and nation first, knowing that the government at all levels, especially His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo led administration are working assiduously to surmount myriad of challenges and putting everything in place to better the lots of the people”
