Peace Returns to Kogi NYCN As Gov. Ododo Intervenes.
Following the directives of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo, the crisis in the National Youth Council of Nigeria has been resolved.
The governor directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat to resolve the crisis that was occasion by the local Government election held by the NYCN.
Addressing the warring faction, the Governor sued for peace, pointing out that the Council can only make impact and attract Government support in an atmosphere of peace.
The warring faction at the meeting embraced peace, apologized for their shortcomings, promised to live in peace and harmony.
Speaking after the meeting, Comr. Ben Jerry, NYCN Chairman, expressed appreciation to Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo for his concern, thanked the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for serving as a true conflict mediator.
Comr. Jerry assured that never again would the council go through the route of the crisis, appealed for calm and togetherness by members.
