Sen. Natasha: How Could You Be Serving 6 Months Suspension, Yet Claim To Have Evidences

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has again made headlines with explosive claims—this time, accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment and of conspiring with former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello in an alleged plot to assassinate her. She says she has evidence.
But Nigerians have heard this before. The pattern is becoming too familiar: bold accusations, no clear proof.
Nigerians have begun to ask Sen. Natasha Akpoti key questions that demand answers:
1. If she truly has evidence against Akpabio, why didn’t she present it to the panel during the hearing? Why didn’t her witnesses, Ezekwesili and Co present any evidence during their visit to the Senate? Why hasn’t she presented it to the Senate or the courts to lift her 6-month suspension and reclaim her seat? Is she that unwise to be out of Senate for 6months while claiming to have evidences?
2. Why wait until she was facing disciplinary action for flouting Senate rules before raising these claims?
3. Why didn’t she provide evidence when Reno Omokri accused her of blackmail and making false sexual harassment claims in the past? Why did she delete her video analysing how Reno Omokri tried to sexually exploit her? Why did she opt to settle the matter privately? Why did she beg a renowned clergy man to intervene and pay off Reno Omokri not to explode the story? Why hasn’t she commented on the story since Reno Omokri recently accused her of making false emotional allegations against notable figures?
4. Why do her allegations always surface during political controversies but fade away without legal closure or verified documentation? Is this a pattern of avoiding accountability and capitalising on gullibility of Nigerians?
5. If the alleged threats to her life were credible, Why has there been no corroboration or support from independent witnesses, whistleblowers, or documents to back any of her serious allegations?
6. Why does she frequently turn to the media with explosive claims rather than follow through with legal and institutional channels? Why is she yet to file legal charges against Akpabio for sexual harassment and assassination plot?
7. What exactly is stopping her from releasing the evidence publicly if she believes transparency is on her side and the institutions are compromised?
8. Why is there never any documentation, recording, or witness testimony to back her serious claims?
Why do these accusations surface only when her political standing is under threat?
Why does she rarely pursue legal redress or provide clarity through formal channels—despite claiming to have all the necessary proof?
These repeated tactics raise uncomfortable but necessary questions about credibility. Are we witnessing a genuine pursuit of justice, or a calculated use of sensitive issues to distract from personal political liabilities?
These are not minor accusations. Sexual harassment and attempted assassination are deeply serious charges that deserve careful investigation. But when such claims come without supporting evidence—especially from someone in high public office—they risk becoming distractions rather than calls for justice.
Senator Natasha’s suspension by the Senate stemmed from what was widely regarded as an “unnecessary outburst” linked to seat reallocation—a procedural matter. Yet instead of addressing the issue through internal channels, she is now shifting the narrative with fresh allegations that conveniently paint her as the victim of a broader conspiracy.
If these claims are true, presenting the evidence should be her first priority—not media appearances, not sensational headlines.
The danger here is twofold:
First, it undermines the legitimacy of real victims who struggle to be heard. Second, it weakens public confidence in the institutions of governance by turning serious matters into political chess pieces.
Until then, her credibility remains on trial just as much as her claims.
