
Kogi Finance Commissioner, Asiwaju Asiru Doles Out Massive Empowerment For Yagba East People

… As NYCN Chairman Describes Gesture As Unprecedented, Commends Finance Commissioner.

The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris, has assured the people of Yagba East LGA of his continued support, pointing out that he is irrevocably committed to the growth and development of the area.

Asiwaju Asiru Idris made the pledge at the massive empowerment for the people of Yagba East, held at his country home, Isanlu.

The Commissioner said since charity begins at home he has made the empowering of his people a regular exercises, described the present empowerment as one geared towards cushioning the times.
The Commissioner described the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo as one that is working round the clock to cushion the global economic hardship with several interventions.
He added that as a disciple of the Governor, having keyed into his programs and policies, assured the people that no stone would be left unturned in meeting with their yearning and aspirations.
The Commissioner solicited the continued support of the people of Yagba East LGA to the administration of Gov Ododo, said to whom much is given, much is expected.
Speaking at the occasion, the Kogi State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Ben Jerry, described the gesture by the Commissioner for Finance as unprecedented.
Comr. Jerry described the empowerment as unprecedented by an appointee, urged others to emulate the attributes of the Finance Commissioner, pointing out that like Gov. Ododo, Asiwaju Asiru is toeing the footsteps of the Governor.
Comr. Jerry called on the people of Yagba East LGA to remain committed to supporting the government of Gov. Ododo, pointing out that the present administration is people centered.
The various beneficiaries of the empowerment lauded the immeasurable contributions of the Finance Commissioner to improving on their well-being, prayed God to grant him good health and prosperity.
Highlights of the Empowerment Scheme by the Commissioner for Finance, was the distribution of food items ranging from rice, other grains and cash support for the women to improve on their businesses.
