Eid el Fitri: Onogie of Afemai, Lokoja, Alhaji Z.A. Dangana Congratulates Muslims.
The Onogie of Afemai, Lokoja, Alhaji Z.A. Dangana has sent a message of felicitations to Muslim faithful on the auspicious occasion of the 2025 Eid el Fitri celebration.
The Onogie also congratulated Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Governor on the auspicious occasion, praised him for the enabling environment he has created for peaceful coexistence.
The Traditional Ruler was full of praises for the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness, Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi IV for the peaceful coexistence existing in Lokoja, a feat he said has enabled Afemai residents in the metropolis to go about their businesses unhindered.
In a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, The Onogie of Afemai, felicitated with Muslims over the completion of the Ramadan fast and urged them to make the lessons learnt as “their life habit.”
“Having gone through the fasting period in devotion, obedience, charity, perseverance and respect for others, these traits should be a life time habit that should outlive the limited period which the Ramadan fasting was observed,’’ he said.
The Onogie also urged Nigerians to continue to live in peace with one another and pray for the nation and its leaders.
“The Royal Father praised non-Muslims who became their brother’s keeper by joining in feeding less privileged Muslims in many parts of the country.
“This is exactly the attitude that we should strive to imbibe to make our country great and shame the enemies of Nigeria’s progress,’’ he said.
