Igbinedion University Hosts Lecture On Non- Kinetic Military Operations

A one-day lecture on ‘Optimizing Non-Kinetic Efforts in Nigerian Army’s Approach to Military Operations’ will be held at Igbinedion University, Okada, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

The lecture is Organized by the Buratai Centre for Contemporary Security Affairs of the institution.

In a release signed by Lucky U. Eboh-Onokwe Deputy Director, Public Relations, Igbinedion University Okada , stated that the lecture will be delivered by retired Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf.

Major General Yusuf, a renowned expert in military operations, will share valuable insights on maximizing non-kinetic strategies in military combats.

The lecture will draw on his extensive experience as former Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna; ex-Force Commander of the Multi-National Joint-Task Force, Ndjamena, Chad; and erstwhile General Officer Commanding, 7 Division, Nigerian Army.

The one-day gathering will bring together participants from the military, police, and other security agencies, as well as academia and the general public.

Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, Vice Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Okada, will preside over the event.

As part of its mandate, the Buratai Centre for Contemporary Security Affairs explores security challenges at both local and global levels. This lecture represents a significant step in promoting dialogue and exploring non-kinetic approaches to military operations by the Nigerian Army.
