Group Condemns Propose Creation Of 31 States

A Socio Political Group, the Concerned Edo Citizens Forum, CECF, has condemned the proposed 31 states creation instead of directing their energies to make laws for the betterment of society.
The group said the creation of more states in Nigeria at this time is seriously unnecessary, unwarranted, and called for.
They called on the national Assembly to immediately jettison the proposal because it will drastically reduce the potency of Nigeria in all ramifications.
The group in a statement signed by the converner , Roy Oribhabor, ” called on the national Assembly to immediately jettison the proposal because it will drastically reduce the potency of Nigeria in all ramifications.
” We are seriously bothered about this proposal for New States when there are established facts that some states are not viable as of today. What are the reasons behind this new development of the creation of more states?
“We hereby call on the national Assembly to direct their energies to make laws for the betterment of society, not to act otherwise, the hunger and frustration in the land supposed to be the uttermost concern to house rep not dancing on unseriousness in the name of states creation.”Oribhabor said.
Oribhabor further noted that the action of House of Representatives negates a basic understanding of Nigeria and the people of Nigeria, adding that it further showed that the House of Representatives is not in touch with reality.
“As concerned citizens,
I’m thinking of repositioning Nigeria for greatness because agitation for more states is an unending conversation within ethnic nationalities with selfish reasons to undermine Nigeria state” . Oribhabor added.
Continuing, Oribhabor said that the creation of more states will increase poverty in Nigeria and encourage a higher level of unemployment in Nigeria , explaining that there are no economic reasons behind more states in Nigeria but selfish, wicked, and unpatriotic.
