SSA Grassroots Mobilization, Hon. Sunny Ogah Meets Kogi East Opposition Candidates in Last Council Polls

 

… Seeks support for incumbent Chairmen, APC, Gov. Ododo’s administration.

Chairmenship and Councillorship candidates of opposition political parties that contested the last November 19 Kogi State Local Government Election from Kogi East Senatorial District have been asked to join hands with the incumbent Chairmen, the All Progressives Congress Party and Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo in building a virile Kogi State.

Hon. Sunny Ogah made the call in a meeting he held with some of the candidates, pointing out that Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo wants to run an inclusive administration.

Hon. Ogah mentioned in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja that Gov. Ododo wants everyone to be part of his administration, said now that the election are over, the need to join hands with the incumbents at the Local Government Areas and the State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo cannot be overemphasized.

Hon. Ogah explained that the present administration is one committed to carrying everyone along, described the present administration as one that does not encourage lines of divides and sentiments.

He noted that Gov. Ododo has ensured that everyone irrespective of tribe, political affiliation is made relevant through his purposeful leadership, urged the opposition candidates to join hands to build a united Kogi State.

He assured that more stands to be enjoyed under a conducive environment where unity and peace prevails, urged the candidates to see power as one given by God, pointing out that it will be their turn the next time.

Hon. Sunny described Gov. Ododo as one who is irrevocably committed to restoring the lost glory of local Government administration, praised him for raising the bar in the payment of 100% regular salaries and the recent increase of salaries to N72,000.

Hon. Ogah assured that efforts to carry all the contestants along through a platform that will enable them offer advise and support will be initiated, described the present administration of Gov Ododo as one that is for all irrespective of Senatorial District.

Highlights of the meeting was phone calls to other candidates seeking for them to join hands with the Council Chairmen and Councillors, the APC and Gov. Ododo for a more prosperous State.
