Tinubu’s Wife commissions Chuba Okadigbo Int’l airport runway, applauds Nwifuru, wife exceptional leadership in Ebonyi

The wife of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has commissioned Chuba Okadigbo International airport Onueke asphalted runway constructed by the State Governor Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru In the State as part of the activities marking 2024 grand finale of Ebonyi women’s day.
The wife of the President who commissioned the project on Friday in Abakaliki, described the international airport as one of the best in the entire Country while expressing satisfaction on the level of developmental strides and human oriented leadership of Governor Nwifuru and wife in the State while praying for the peaceful landing and taking up of aeroplane at all times as it commences operation.
Speaking shortly before commissioning of the asphalted runway, the Governor of the State Chief Francis Nwifuru appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu for their support to Ebonyi State, assuring that people of the State would continue to remain supportive to the present adminstration in the Country.
In an interview, the State Commissioner for aviation and transport technology Dr. Ngozi Obichukwu described the asphalted runway as a milestone achievement of the State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru and praised God for making it possible for the project to come into reality.
According to the commissioner “the lord has wiped our tears, he has made unrealizable to be realized and we are grateful to God who made this day”
“We thanked our dear Governor who doggedly ensure that the feat is achieved through prudency and transparency”
Dr. Obichukwu noted that flight operation would commence fully at the airport by December this year as the State government has launched its airways and would be put in use soon adding that adequate security has been provided at the airport.
Also, the head of department safety management system chuba Okadigbo international airport Onueke Hon. Jennifer Adibe Nwafor noted that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure accident and hazard free at the the airport as it commences operation.
The wife of the president while speaking at Pa-Ngele Oruta township stadium, Abakaliki applauded Governor Francis Nwifuru for exceeding over thirty five percent women affirmative action.
She further hailed Mrs Nwifuru’s various intervention programmes aimed at uplifting the lives of Ebonyi people ranging from free medical services, empowerement of women among others.
The wife of the President who is the founder of renewed hope intiative called on the traders to consider bringing down price of goods in the market in this yuletide season to reduce hardship among citizens of the Country.
She therefore announced donation of over 20,000 phantom of wrappers, 50, million naira, clothes to women and pledged to release more interventions to the State soon.
The executive Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Francis Nwifuru extolled President Tinubu’s wife for visiting Ebonyi State and for her numerous interventions in the State.
The Governor assured Ebonyi women that he would continue to foster environment where every woman feels valued, protected and supported.
He urged them to take inspiration from the examplary leadership of the wife of the President and his dear wife, describing them as a beacon of hope and a passionate advocate for women’s development and national unity.
On her part, Mrs Nwifuru thanked President Tinubu’s wife for the renewed hope empowerement initiative given to Ebonyi women, saying that the State Governor has given women over 40 percent affirmative action and pledged her continued support to President Tinubu’s led adminstration.
The Ebonyi women’s day grand finale featured disbursement of one million naira cheque to 130 business owners in the State.
The event was attended by wives of the various State Governors, former Senate President Senator Ayim Pius Ayim, Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State Princess Patricia Obila among other distinguished personalities.
