Alhaji Enehi Has Positioned KGIRS For Optimum Service Delivery, Says Comr. Idris Abdulrahman, State Chairman, Concerned Leadership Check.

 

 

Comr. Idris Abdulrahman, the Kogi State Chairman, Concerned Leadership Check, has lauded the efforts of the State Chairman, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, Alhaji Sule Salihu Enehi, as one that has repositioned the Service to compete favourably with other Internal Revenue Services in the country for optimum service delivery.

Comr. Abdulrahman who is the immediate past State Secretary, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter, and presently and the Director of employment and job creation at NYCN Nigeria, National Body described the leadership of Alhaji Salihu Enehi, the Executive Chairman, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service as one that is rewarding.

In a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, Comr. Abdulrahman lauded the renovation of the headquarters of the Revenue Service as one that is in the right direction, praised the optimum use of resources at less than N170m as a prudent utilization of resources.

He expressed appreciation that staff of the agency will from November following the State Governor’s approval enjoy increased salaries, said the service now has a conducive working environment.

” Until the administration of Alhaji Enehi, promotion for staff was retarded”, praised the Chairman for carrying out several promotions as well as cash backing of the promotion as unprecedented.

” We are proud that under the current Chairman, the Service is able to surpass the target set for it in the last budget year”, said the Chairman has blocked leakages using the human face approach.

” One thing that the present administration in KGIRS has done which must be commended is the regular training for staff as well as enlightenment of the public on the need to pay their taxes regularly without coercion”.

” The administration must be praised for introducing 13 month salary as motivation for staff. This motivation which cuts across all the staff is well appreciated”, called on the staff to be patient as their is so much in stock for them from the end of November.

” We are pleased with the discipline that the Chairman has maintained, leading to improved productivity. While his human face approach to leadership must be commended, the Chairman has taken the Service to a greater heights in revenue collection”, urged for more support to enable the service deliver on it objectives.

We can confidently say we are impressed with the revenue body in it revenue generating capacity, urged Alhaji Salihu the Chairman on the need for sustenance.

Comr. Abdulrahman lauded the priority placed on the welfare and motivation of Staff by Alhaji Enehe, described it as unprecedented, said the approval the board received from Gov. Ahmed Ododo for an increase in wage that was even higher than the current minimum wage that will take effect from November 2024, is an indication that the Chairman is a man who loves his workers welfare.

Comr. Abdulrahman lauded Alhaji Enehi for the deployment of electronic data base for tax payers which has helped in financial monitoring and service delivery.

He added that under the Alhaji Enehi’s leadership, the Service has deployed ICT, a feat that has contributed to improving the collection of revenue.

Similarly Comr. Abdulrahman lauded the Chairman for eliminating financial leakages at all levels and the automation of the service collection process, said the enforcement of treasury single account, general public engagement through effective communication has made the citizens to be aware of how their tax is utilized in building infrastructure.

He commended the existing collaboration and synergy the KGIRS has with MDA’s towards strengthening the State’s IGR performance, said it a rare feat that deserves commendation.

Comr. abdulrahman described Alhaji Enehi as a natural leader who believes that the Staff who lay the golden egg must be rewarded with enhanced working environment and emoluments.

The Kogi State Chairman, Concerned Leadership Check assured that with collective collaboration, tue KGIRS would make the desired mark, serve as positive reference in revenue collection in the country.
