The Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is not only humane, God fearing but a compassionate leader who is always in touch with the pulse of his people and ever ready to meet the immediate needs of the entire Kogi State electorates.
On October 1st, 2024 being the independence anniversary day of our great country, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo took Kogi State by storm in his independence anniversary speech as he announced the creation of ODODO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SKILLS ACQUISITION (OYESA) programme in the state.
No doubt our amiable governor is in his prime as the number one youth in the state. As the leader of the state, the plight of the majority of Kogi State youths who fall prey to unemployment remains his heart beat. Right from his inaugural speech on January 27, 2024, His Excellency immediately announced his administration’s plan to empower the teeming Kogi State youths. Today His Excellency has put his words to action by announcing in his independence speech the establishment of ODODO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SKILLS ACQUISITION (OYESA) programme in the state.
On its take off the governor clearly stated that OYESA “will absorb many youths in the state with cut-edging training technology in areas like CNG conversion, wielding and fabrication, solar system installation and many other skills acquisition programme.” Whats more, Kogi youths who will receive training on this scheme will receive stipends, will be accommodated and on completion of their programme will be provided with starter packs and aided with their personal business of choice registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). What can be more comprehensive in package to the new OYESA skill acquisition programme of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Chief Servant of Kogi State.
In a bid to make OYESA have an accelerated take off, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo said OYESA will take off in partnership with Kogi State Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute (NKFI) located along Abuja – Okene road by the side of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja. By this plan, OYESA will have no impediment in its take off for the teeming Kogi youths.
His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo deserve an applause for not only integrating Kogi youths in his cabinet, Local Council administration but creating yet OYESA as another window to create self-employment opportunities for Kogi youths across the twenty one Local Government Areas of Kogi State. BRAVO the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The entire Kogi electorates are happy with your purposeful and people oriented administration in the state. There is no doubt that the establishment of OYESA which is synonymous to NYASEE in Ebira dialect which connotes WELCOME is a veritable scheme for Kogi youths and is highly welcomed by the teeming Kogi youths in the entire twenty one Local Government Areas of Kogi State.
Interestingly, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in his independence speech also spoke on his scholarship scheme to the teeming Kogi State youths in various tertiary institutions across the country. According to him “We have enrolled over 45,000 students in tertiary institutions across the country on our scholarship board data base.” He assured that in the next one week the state government will start disbursing funds through the scholarship scheme in various tertiary institutions across the country. This again is a very laudable education programme which will help in no small measure in the funding of education for Kogi State students across various tertiary institutions in the country.
His Excellency, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in his independence anniversary speech also revealed how his administration has achieved the accreditation of Medical and Surgery courses at the Confluence State University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara. This feat again will enable Kogi State youths with the requisite qualifications to gain admission at the institution to read Medicine and Surgery with ease. His Excellency no doubt is expanding the sphere of education in the state with his education positive driven programmes.
His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo since assumption of office in January 2024 has been doing a lot to better the lots of Kogi people. He has persistently and timely been paying state workers salaries since he assumed office. Local Government workers who had for the past fifteen years been receiving percentage salaries are now receiving full salaries including primary school teachers in all the twenty one Local Government Areas of the state.
On retired Civil servants, His Excellency has been realising #100M monthly to defray the backlog of gratuity owed pensioners in the state.
On agriculture, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has provided fertilizers, farming inputs and pesticides to the entire farmers in Kogi State.
There is no sector His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is not touching in Kogi State. He is a leader with the Midas touch for accelerated development in Kogi State.
I appeal to the people of Kogi State to keep supporting the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for an accelerated development of Kogi State.
